At what point did food become unhealthy?

The delicious foods never lack added sugar, the taste of saltiness and are mixed with oils. These delicious factors mask the consequences caused by these foods. You can cheat on your food habits, but it’s excessive. It’ll get you dead end, and there is no way to escape. We should avoid these types of foods because of their chronic disease triggering factors.

Added sugars:

Sweets are dangerous! Artificial sugar has no nutritional value, which will cause more chronic illnesses to the body. Some diseases associated with sugars are cardiac diseases, stroke, brain tumour, dental illness, weak bone strength, weight gain, non-alcoholic liver disease, diabetes and even cancer. Also, studies say, it will collapse mental stability. So be cautious while you intake in the name of “natural sugar” in the packed foods, syrup, bread, soft drinks, healthy diet drinks or ketchup. Moreover, avoid overconsuming chocolates, ice-creams, smoothies and cakes, especially among children.

Glycemic index:

Is it essential to know about the glycemic index? Yes, Of course, because it is a way to know about the sugar content in your dietary source. Foods considered as Low glycemic index tend to release sugar and absorb in blood vessels slowly. High glycemic index foods are absorbed in blood vessels rapidly. All sugars come under carbohydrates. So if you have a plan for a healthy diet, you should consider these too.

Saltiness:

Too much sodium and chloride will lead to chances of getting short to long term diseases. This may happen when you intake processed meats and foods because salt is commonly used for preservation, and also, some spicy fast foods have excessive salt because it might create a super taste in spicy foods. If you intake all of these, you may get a high chance of chronic heart disease, stroke, stomach cancer, dehydration, bloating, kidney illness, weakness, disturbance in sleep and sudden swelling in the body parts. If you consume high salt, have some water, it will neutralize excessive salt content in your body. Try to take not more than 1.5 grams of salt per day.

Cholesterol:

Low cholesterol aids the body to build cells, whereas high cholesterol tends to cause cardiac diseases. It is a waxy substance that will stick on the blood vessels and create a wall, blocking the blood circulation in the heart. We can separate cholesterol into two types. One is Low-Density Lipoprotein (LDL), considered “Bad for the body”, and another one is High-Density Lipoprotein(HDL), considered “Good for the body”. Hikes in cholesterol level take you to at-risk and cause chest pain, heart disease and stroke.

Saturated and Trans fats:

Fats are not bad for your health if you take mono and polyunsaturated fatty acids in adequate amounts. It also stimulates the absorption of vitamins and minerals into the body and acts as an energy source in some conditions. In contrast, saturated and industrially produced trans fats have zero nutritional value to our bodies. These two also stimulate low-density lipoprotein. It has so many effects on our body, including Type II diabetics, Heart diseases, and especially obesity. These are primarily present in fried foods, meat and dairy sources filled with fats.

No Fiber content:

The fiber in the diet helps our body to improve the digestion of the food we have taken. It’ll help our gut microbes to function well, and also it will create some good effects on our mental stability. Lack of fiber is associated with numerous unhealthy effects in the body like constipation, high cholesterol, blood sugar elevation and weakness. You can go for greens, fruits(especially bananas) and veggies to avoid fiber deficiency.

Skin:

Now we can know what an unhealthy diet is in the above information. Here we came to our favourite part. It is the largest organ in the human body that is the primary defensive system in our body.
